Chasing the target of 49 runs to win, Team India won in just 7.4 overs without losing any wickets. With this victory, India has taken a 2–1 lead in this series.

1) “local boy” letter spin magic

The young spin bowler Akshar Patel, playing at his home ground, performed brilliantly in both innings of the day-night test. Akshar took six wickets in the first innings of the Pink Ball Test and five in the second. Due to Akshar’s bowling, India bowled out England for 112 and 81 runs. Akshar also bowled brilliantly in his debut match. He then took five wickets in the second innings.

2) Spin bowlers took 28 wickets out of 30

Due to being a day-night test match, it was believed that the pink ball would help the fast bowlers greatly, but at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the opposite was seen. In the third Test match, spin bowlers dominated both days and 28 of 30 wickets were taken by spin bowlers. For India, both Akshar Patel (11) and Ashwin (7) took 18 wickets in total. At the same time, England’s Joe Joe Root, who took five wickets and Jack Leach, took India’s first innings for 145 runs.

3) Ashwin completed 400 Test wickets

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin completed his 400 wickets in Test cricket along with dismissing Jofra Archer in the second innings. Ashwin has become the fourth bowler to take 400 wickets in Test from India. Before Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh, Anil Kumble and Kapil Dev have taken 400 wickets, with Ashwin taking three wickets in the first innings and four wickets in the second innings. Ashwin has done this feat in his 77th Test match, while Muralitharan touched this magical figure in 72 Tests.

4) England’s names record embarrassing records

The England team recorded an embarrassing record to their name, being all out for 81 runs in the second innings. England’s score today is the lowest ever against India. Earlier in the year 1971, England were reduced to just 101 runs. After that in the year 1979–80, the English team was all out for 102 runs. England were all out for just 112 runs in the first innings of the Ahmedabad Test.

5) India won the test for the second time in two days

The Indian team defeated the England team in just two days in the Ahmedabad Day-Night Test match. This is the second time in the history of Test cricket when Team India has won against a team in just two days. Earlier in the year 2018, the Indian team won the Test match in two days against Afghanistan. In the history of Test cricket, there have been a total of 22 matches, including the Ahmedabad Test, which resulted in just two days.
