BSF Recovers Arms, Ammunition & Heroin along Punjab Border

In Punjab, the Border Security Force (BSF) has recovered a cache of arms and ammunition in the border districts of Tarn Taran and Amritsar, besides narcotics, in the last 36 hours. These recoveries have been made in two different operations.

In Amritsar, the BSF, in a joint operation with Punjab Police, recovered 6 pistols with 14 magazines, whereas, in Tarn Taran, the border guarding force recovered 3 pistols with 97 live cartridges and Heroin. All these recoveries were made from the fields adjacent to the border with Pakistan.

BSF sources informed that these items were dropped by drones operating from across the border through the terror network attempting to spread violence on Indian soil.
