BJP President J P Nadda Accuses Congress Of Sensationalizing Manipur Violence

BJP president J P Nadda has accused Congress of sensationlising the situation of Manipur. Mr Nadda responded to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s letter to President Droupadi Murmu in connection with Manipur violence.

In his letter to Kharge, Mr Nadda accused that Congress government’s failure of country’s security and administrative protocols is one of the major reasons why militant and habitually violent organisations are attempting to destroy the hard-won peace in Manipur. He said, over the past ten years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Northeast region has witnessed a complete transformation in every sector, such as, economy, security, healthcare, education or access to growth opportunities. Mr Nadda highlighted that the Northeast region, where gunshots and explosions had become an everyday affair are witnessing peace, prosperity and progress for the first time since Independence.

In response to Mr Nadda’s letter, Congree leader Jairam Ramesh said, the people of Manipur are wishing for normalcy, peace, and harmony to the state at the earliest.
