President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday inaugurated the Sri Guru Ravidas Vishwa Mahapeeth National Session 2021 program based on the great saint Guru Ravidas at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. He inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp on the occasion. On this occasion, President Ram Nath Kovind has said that the great saint Ravidas ji was such a great personality of his time who influenced people.

He said during his address that the arrival of great saints like Guru Ravidas occurs occasionally in the centuries. He not only paved the way for the welfare of his contemporary society but also of the future society. Many scholars believe that due to the extraordinary longevity of Sant Ravidas ji, many generations of the then society and saints continued to guide him.
Following the path suggested by Guru Ravidas in the Directive Principles of India’s Policy
Referring to the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji, President Kovind said that the guidelines suggested by Guru Ravidas have been followed in the Directive Principles mentioned in our Constitution, which shows the direction of governance of modern India.
There are also ideals reflected by Guru Ravidas.
He said that in the Directive Principles related to equal justice and free legal aid, humane working system, subsistence and wages for laborers, education and economic interests of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and other weaker sections, the ideal reflected by Guru Ravidas ji Huh.
