Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several major projects in the power and urban sector through video conferencing in Kerala on Friday evening. During this time, PM Modi will also inaugurate a 320 kV power transmission project in Thrissur, Kerala. It is a state-of-the-art High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) project based on voltage source converter (VSC).
The project has been completed at a cost of Rs 5,070 crore.
According to information received by the Prime Minister’s Office, the project has been completed at a cost of Rs 5,070 crore. This will facilitate the sending of 2000 MW of electricity from the western region and can meet the demand of Kerala.
50 MW Kasargod Solar Power Project to be dedicated to the nation
PM Modi will also dedicate 50 MW Kasargod Solar Power Project to the nation. The project has been prepared under the National Solar Energy Mission at a cost of Rs 280 crore.
Foundation stone to be laid for integrated command and control center in Thiruvananthapuram
In addition, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the Integrated Command and Control Center in Thiruvananthapuram. Its estimated cost is 427 crores. The program included Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Union Minister of State for Power and New and Renewable Energy (Independent Charge) R.K. Many important people including Singh will be present.
