The Union Cabinet was today apprised of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between India and Australia to promote cooperation in surface and groundwater training, education and research to achieve water security.
The MoU was signed by Central Ground Water Board (CGWB), under the Ministry of Jal Shakti and Managing Aquifer Recharge and Sustaining Groundwater use through village-level intervention (MARVI) PARTNERS, Australia in October, 2019.
