Sri Lanka: Three Indian tourists among 4 killed in road accident

In Sri Lanka, four people including three Indian tourists died in an accident on southern expressway.

The accident happened when the van they were travelling in collided with a lorry. The Sri Lankan driver of the van and a woman tourist were among the dead. Expressway police said that at the time of the accident, six Indians were travelling from Matara to Colombo.

The police claimed the van driver had fallen asleep on the wheel and crashed on the back of the container lorry.

Two Indian tourists injured in the incident are receiving treatment at the hospital. 

Indian high commission in Colombo is providing necessary assistance to the family for repatriation of bodies.
