70 Years Ago We Adopted Our Great Constitution, Says PM Modi During Joint Session

The government is celebrating ‘Constitution Day’ or ‘Samvidhan Diwas’ on Tuesday in the Central Hall of Parliament to mark the 70th anniversary of adoption of the Constitution by the Constituent Assembly. President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the MPs on the occasion. The President will also inaugurate a digital exhibition through video conferencing.

PM Modi: The Constitution of India highlights both rights and duties of citizens. This is a special aspect of our Constitution. Let us think about how we can fulfil the duties enshrined in our Constitution. As proud citizens of India, let us think about how our actions will make our nation even stronger.

Pm Modi: “I especially bow down to the 130 crore Indians, who never let their faith in India’s democracy diminish. Always considered our constitution to be a holy book, guiding light. I am glad that the spirit of the constitution has been steadfast and unshakable. Even when anybody tried to make any such efforts, the countrymen together have made them unsuccessful. the Constitution has not been allowed to come down.”
