Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that the national target for food grain production has been set at 362.50 million tonnes for the 2025-26 Rabi season. Union Agriculture Minister made this announcement during a press conference in New Delhi after chairing the National Conference on Agriculture – Rabi Campaign 2025. The Minister noted that this year’s target is 2.4 percent higher than the food grain production achieved in 2024-25. He assured that adequate seed stocks are available to meet the country’s requirements. The Minister highlighted that the conference’s theme, One Nation, One Agriculture, One Team, reflects a significant move towards strengthening coordination and partnerships in the agricultural sector.
