Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Inaugurates 227 Gender Resource Centres Under Nayi Chetna 3.0

Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has inaugurated 227 Gender Resource Centres in 13 states under the Nayi Chetna 3.0 campaign. On the occasion, the Minister asserted that the government is working towards the social, economic, political, and educational empowerment of women. He urged everyone to raise their voices to eradicate gender-based violence in the country.

Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi highlighted that the aim of the mission is to ensure the rights of all genders. She added that the campaign also aims to eliminate the fear of violence amongst all genders of the country.

The month-long campaign will run across all states and Union Territories till the 23rd of December. The slogan for this year’s campaign is “Ek Saath, Ek Awaaz, Hinsa Ke Khilaaf.” It is organized by the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission under the aegis of the Rural Development Ministry. The initiative is led by an extensive Self-Help Group network under this mission.
