Union Minister Amit Shah Says BJP Likely to Secure 25% Seats in Upcoming Kerala Local Body Elections

In Kochi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the BJP would secure 25 per cent seats in the upcoming local body elections in Kerala. He also expressed strong confidence about the performance of the BJP in the assembly elections to be held next year.

The Union Minister was inaugurating the development summit organised by Malayala Manorama newspaper in Kochi today. Talking about the developmental issues of the state, he urged exploring all the possibilities available in front of Kerala. Along with total literacy, tourism and NRI penetration have helped Kerala. He said that a lot of opportunities are there in the state, and those should be explored for the people and not for the cadre.

Mr. Shah said the Modi Government has given rupees 5100 crore to Kerala for disaster management. This is more than ever. There are a lot of advantages and opportunities in Kerala, but some kind of strange ideology is preventing the development and progress here. Mr. Shah will also attend the BJP State leadership meet in Kochi.
