Union Home Minister Amit Shah visits international border in Kutch today

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit the strategically significant and sensitive Harami Nala and creek areas along the international border in Kutch on the second day of his Gujarat visit today. During the visit, he will review the security arrangements made by the Border Security Force and discuss border security challenges with senior officials. Home Minister will inaugurate Border Outpost G-7 and interact with BSF personnel.

He will also visit the Control Room at OP Tower 1170 and undertake a boat tour of the Harami Nala region. A tree plantation programme has also been scheduled at the jetty point. Later in the day, Mr Shah will chair a high-level meeting on border-related issues at the BSF Sector Headquarters in Bhuj. This is Amit Shah’s second visit to Kutch within six months.
