Two Army Soldiers Killed In Encounter Between Terrorists & Security Forces In Jammu And Kashmir; Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Expresses Grief

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, two Army soldiers have been killed in the line of their duties while two civilians have got injured in an encounter between terrorists and security forces at Ahlan hamlet in Gagarmandu area of Kokernag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district yesterday. As per the Defence Spokesperson, the two critically injured Army soldiers after being shifted to hospital finally succumbed to their grievous injuries. The two civilians have also been evacuated from the area and provided immediate medical aid. The encounter was underway till the reports last came in. Further details are awaited. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has expressed sadness at the loss of brave and fearless Indian Army soldiers in a counter-terrorist operation in Kokernag, Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir. Mr Singh expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and said that the Nation stands firmly with them in this hour of grief.
