The US President Donald Trump and Indian PM Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation today. The US President expressed his desire to expand the Group of 7 to include important countries like India.
In regard to this, the US President has invited PM Modi to attend the next G-7 summit to be held in the USA. As per the statement from PMO, PM Modi commended President Trump for his creative and far sighted approach, and such expansion of G-7 grouping would be in keeping with the emerging realities of the post-COVID world. The PM also expressed his happiness to work with the US and other countries to ensure the success of the proposed summit.
PM Modi also expressed his concerns over the ongoing civil disturbances in the US and conveyed his best wishes for an early resolution of the situation.
The two leaders also talked about COVID pandemic, and the situation on the Indo-China border. Both the leaders agreed for reforms in the WHO. President Trump also recalled his visit to India earlier this year, were he was greeted by lakhs of people. PM Modi said that the visit was memorable and added new dynamism to the bilateral relationship.

India’s close relations with the US is increasingly prevalent, and certainly a matter of concern for the Chinese regime. In addition, Trump’s bonding with PM Modi is sure to bring many advantages to India in many ways.
