A three-member team will conduct a magisterial investigation into the death of gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari.
He passed away after suffering a heart attack on Thursday at Banda Medical College.
63 year old Mukhtar Ansari was a five-time former MLA from Mau Sadar seat and had been behind bars in UP and Punjab since 2005.
Chief Judicial Magistrate of Banda has appointed Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, MP-MLA Court Banda, Garima Singh as the investigating officer in the case.
After completion of the post-mortem, Mukhtar Ansari’s body was handed over to his son, Umar Ansari and now it has been taken to Ghazipur for last rites. Post-mortem examination conducted by a panel of two doctors, which was video recorded.
