Yesterday Kangana Ranaut attended a special meeting with the Censor Board regarding the title of her next film ‘Mental Hai Kya’ with Rajkummar Rao. It seems that the decision has been made in the meeting.
When media asked Kangana post meeting with CBFC about the same, the Manikarnika actress said, “Well, there will be a mild change in the title of the film since they find it too harsh, so we are more than happy to do that. And, other than that there are absolutely no cuts and they were thrilled to see the film.”
Earlier this year, the Indian Psychiatric Society had written to the CBFC posing an objection to the film’s title for being discriminating. Also the Indian Medical Association along with Indian Psychiatric Society also urged the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and PMO to intervene in the matter with the movie’s title.
The film is slated to release in the theatres on July 26. Film is helmed by Prakash Kovelamudi and will be produced by the Balaji Motion Pictures.
