TamilNadu CM appeals for contribution to mitigate Covid crisis in state.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has appealed to the general public, companies and industries to generously contribute to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and also the State’s disaster management fund to mitigate the Covid crisis in the state. Referring to the increase in the number of patients depending on Oxygen and life saving drugs, Mr Stalin said that the second wave has created immense stress on the state’s health infrastructure and the people.
 
The statement released yesterday underlined the need for more beds, improved oxygen supply, life saving drugs and more medical and paramedical staff. According to the health department more than 31 thousand people are on oxygen support with the record of fresh covid cases nearing 30 thousand. Over one lakh 62 thousand people are being treated for the pandemic.
