Situation remains normal in areas where restrictions were eased today; Schools to open from Monday in J&K

Kashmir inches towards normalcy, phone lines made operational

In Jammu and Kashmir, the situation today remained largely peaceful barring a few minor incidents of disturbance.  

Briefing media persons in Srinagar today, J&K Principal Secretary and Government Spokesperson Rohit Kansal said that while the situation remained normal in the areas where restrictions were eased today, six to seven stone-pelting incidents took place in the areas where restrictions were not lifted. He said, in these incidents eight persons have received minor injuries.  

He informed that the movement of vehicles was normal in the areas and people were seen moving on the roads with private shops and business establishments also functioning. He said that the situation will further show improvement in the coming days.
