In Jammu and Kashmir, with the killing of a terrorist in an encounter in Pulwama district during the intervening night and two more Terrorists in Kupwara gunbattle, a short while ago, security forces have neutralised a total of 07 (Seven) terrorists in less than 24 hours since yesterday including 02 Pakistani Terrorists in three different anti-terrorist counter operations in the Kashmir Valley.
Earlier, Kupwara Police along with Army’s 28 Rashtriya Rifles launched a joint anti-terrorist operation yesterday and during the search of a hideout, terrorists fired at joint search party which was retaliated effectively leading to an encounter in which two Pakistani terrorists of proscribed terror outfit LeT were killed.
Later last evening, a joint cordon and search was launched by Police and Army’s 9 Rashtriya Rifles in DH Pora Kulgam area. As the joint search team approached the spot, terrorists fired indiscriminately upon them which was retaliated leading to an encounter in which two local terrorists were killed. They have been identified as Haris Sharief of Srinagar and Zakir Padder of Kulgam.
As per police records, the killed terrorist Haris Sharief was linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT while as Zakir Padder was linked with JeM and both the killed terrorists were categorised terrorists.
