Generating employment is one of India’s key priorities
In recent years, the government has been implementing various policies and initiatives for employment generation. The government recognises that employment generation is crucial for inclusive economic growth, poverty reduction, and social stability. Notably, the investment made by the government in infrastructure projects has witnessed a sharp increase, which in turn is creating and generating employment in various related sectors as well as an increase in human resources requirements like engineers, technicians, accountants, and labourers, among others.
Initiatives like Skill India, Startup India, and Make in India, among various others, are playing an instrumental role in employment generation. In addition, India’s startup ecosystem is also immensely contributing to generating employment.
