In Rajasthan, internet services have been suspended and heavy Police forces have been deployed in Jodhpur city after communal tensions broke out last night. Curfew Imposed in 10 Police Stations Area in the city.
Five Policemen were injured in the incidents of stone-pelting and violence. The situation was brought under control with heavy deployment of Police, but the tension escalated again after the Eid Namaz this morning when some people pelted stones in an area near the Jalori gate in which some vehicles were damaged.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed to maintain peace and harmony. The Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has also visited the disturbed area.
