Rahul Gandhi’s ‘unauthorised’ visit to hostel raises security concerns, will ensure it does not happen again: DU

Delhi University has taken a serious note of the unannounced and unauthorised visit of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to PG Men’s Hostel. It was brought to the notice of University through PG Men’s hostel authorities and guards that Mr Gandhi, along with many outsiders, made a sudden entry into the PG hostel in the lunch hour on Friday without any prior intimation. The University in a statement said that, the visit disrupted the lunch of many inmates, who got annoyed due to the chaos created by his entry along with the people accompanying him. It added that such entry raises serious security concerns for the hostel inmates and the leader. University authorities will take necessary steps to avoid such incidents and will ensure that this does not happen in future again.
