In Uttar Pradesh, preparations are in full swing to celebrate the centenary year of the historic Chauri Chaura incident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the year-long centenary celebrations today 11 am via video-conferencing.
Pm Modi will also release a postal stamp dedicated to the Chauri Chaura incident. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present on the occasion.
State wide celebrations will begin today. Special programmes will be held on the Samadhi of martyrs in every district of the State. School students, NSS and NCC cadets, and Scouts and Guides will take part in morning march pasts (prabhat pheris) in districts, holding banners and posters showcasing the valour and courage of our great freedom fighters.
Police bands will play martyriums, national tunes at educational institutions and other places. Students, artists and people will participate in collective recitation of Vande Mataram at 10 AM Today. A special cleanliness drive will also be held throughout the State today.
