President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed distress to families who have lost lives in a gas tanker fire incident in Jaipur, Rajasthan. In her condolence message, the President said that this news is very painful. President Murmu prayed for departed souls and injured people for their speedy recovery.
In a social media post, the Prime Minister said that he was pained by this news. He said that the local administration is assisting affected persons. The Prime Minster prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. The Prime Minister also announced an ex-gratia of two lakh rupees from the Prime Minister National Relief Fund for the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given 50 thousand rupees.
