Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia on her birth anniversary today. In a social media message, Prime Minister Modi stated that her efforts to serve society will never be forgotten. He noted that she played a key role in strengthening the Jana Sangh and BJP, was passionate about India’s cultural roots, and consistently worked to protect and promote them. The Prime Minister added that she dedicated her life to the service of the nation.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted that Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia played a significant role in expanding the organization and making it popular among the masses. He emphasized that she continuously worked for the education and health of women and contributed to the welfare of the people. Mr Shah also acknowledged her efforts in protecting democracy, noting that even the tortures endured in jail during the Emergency could not shake her resolve to uphold democratic values.
