Altaf Hussain, chief of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has minced no words in condemning the deadly terror attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. Jaish-e-Mohammad, a terrorist outfit of Pakistan has claimed to have carried out this attack.
Altaf Hussain said such terror attacks will be futile for peace in the region. Through his Twitter account, Altaf Hussain conveyed his condolences to the families of the security personnel killed in the attack. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured. “My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for the early recovery of injured. May God give them strength to bear this irreparable loss,” he tweeted.
This has been the deadliest terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistani terrorists attacked a CRPF convoy of 78 buses with 2,500 personnel moving on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, in Pulwama district. Forty security personnel have lost their lives so far.
President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have strongly condemned the terrorist attack. Home Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit Jammu and Kashmir today to assess the situation.
Several countries have condemned the terrorist attack.
