Health Minister JP Nadda today said that more than 8.9 crore hospital admissions worth 1.26 lakh crore rupees have been authorized under Ayushman Bharat -Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana as of 1st March this year. In a reply in Lok Sabha, Mr Nadda said more than 10 lakh Ayushman cards have been created for ASHA workers and 14.47 lakh cards for Anganwadi workers so far. He said that a total of 30,957 hospitals, including 13,866 private hospitals and 17,091 public hospitals, have been empaneled under the scheme. The Health Minister informed that more than 2.21 crore hospital admissions worth 34 thousand 954 crore rupees have been authorized under AB-PMJAY for 2024-25.
