Over seventy seven crore portable transactions were recorded under the One Nation-One Ration Card Scheme. Food and Public Distribution Ministry has said that eighty crore beneficiaries avail benefit from the scheme recording nearly three crore portability transactions per month. The scheme is to complete three years of its successful launch next week.
The Ministry said, the scheme is one-of-its-kind Citizen Centric initiative in the country. It said, the objective of this beneficiary centric high-impact program is to empower all National Food Security Act beneficiaries to be Atma Nirbhar for their food security anywhere in the country. The Ministry said that the scheme was launched on 9th of August in 2019, as a pilot project in four states and now, It has been implemented across the country.
