IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall Over East, Northeast & Northwest Regions Of Country Till 16th August

The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall over East, Northeast and Northwest regions of the country till 16th August. IMD predicted heavy rainfall over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh during the next 5 days. Akashvani’s correspondent reports that IMD predicted heavy rainfall over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh today. Very heavy rainfall is also predicted over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next 5 days. IMD said very heavy rainfall is likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Mahe till Tuesday. Meanwhile, the National capital region is continuing to witness light to moderate rainfall. Delhi recorded 34 mm of rainfall yesterday.
