New farm laws will further empower them in long run, says Rattan Lal Kataria

Minister of State for Jal Shakti Rattan Lal Kataria has said that the Parliament has passed the three farm bills for improving the overall economic condition of the farmers, which is congruent to the Union Government’s goal of doubling the farmers income. He said, these bills will provide new rights and opportunities to farmers and further empower them in the long run. Mr Kataria strongly criticized the opposition parties who are trying to play politics over this matter and termed them as opportunists.

Mr Kataria said the government has regularly raised the Minimum Support price for procurement of crops. In 2019-2020, the government has cumulatively increased the MSP up to 2.5 times as compared to the year 2013-14. The Minister stressed that the Modi Government has been working tirelessly towards the welfare of farmers.
