सीबीआई के नवनियुक्त निदेशक ऋषि कुमार शुक्ला ने सोमवार को पदभार संभाल लिया है। कोलकाता में सीबीआई अधिकारियों और स्थानीय पुलिस के बीच हुए हाई-वोल्टेज ड्रामा के बाद ऋषि कुमार शुक्ला को शायद आज अपनी नई जिम्मेदारियों के प्रभार की आवश्यकता थी। ऐसी उम्मीद थी कि शुक्ला आज कमान संभाल सकते है और उन्होंने वैसे सीबीआई पदभार संभाल लिया है।
उल्लेखनीय है कि भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (आईपीएस) के 1983 बैच के अधिकारी शुक्ला ऐसे समय में सीबीआई का कार्यभार संभाल रहे हैं जब एजेंसी तथा कोलकाता पुलिस के बीच विवाद ने राजनीतिक रूप ले लिया है और केन्द्र तथा पश्चिम बंगाल सरकारें एक-दूसरे के सामने खड़ी हैं।
रविवार शाम को शारदा चिट फंड घोटाला मामले में पूछताछ करने गई सीबीआई अधिकारियों और कोलकाता पुलिस के बीच हाथापाई हो गई थी।
पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी केन्द्र की कथित मनमानी और प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी तथा भाजपा अध्यक्ष अमित शाह के इस कदम से उनके अपमान के खिलाफ रविवार शाम धरने पर बैठ गई थीं।
