Nagaland youth drowns in Goa beach

Calangute (Goa) [India], Oct 19 : A 21-year-old male tourist belonging to Nagaland drowned at Goa’s Calangute beach on Thursday at around 04:00 pm. Upon receiving information, police initiated a search operation to find the youth, identified as Toto Zhimo from Amiphoto, Nagaland, and subsequently recovered his body from Candolim shore.

As per police inspector Jivba Dalvi, a group of four Nagaland natives studying at Bengaluru had come to Goato visit their friends. The group entered the sea at Calangute beach, after which a strong wave pulled Zhimo into the sea. The post-mortem will be conducted at Goa Medical College on Friday. A case of unnatural death has been registered and further inquiry is underway.
