Mumbai: BMC announces Travellers arriving from UAE to be exempted from home quarantine, RT-PCR

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) yesterday announced that international passengers arriving from UAE including Dubai in Mumbai will be exempted from compulsorily seven-day home quarantine and RT-PCR test on arrival.

The BMC in its directive issued yesterday stated that guidelines applicable to international travelers arriving from “countries other than at-risk nations” will be made applicable to travellers arriving from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) including Dubai.

These directions will be enforced with effect from this midnight. The decision was taken after BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal chaired a virtual meeting with civic officials, deans, and medical superintendents of hospitals.
