Microsoft on Wednesday announced the availability of its Dynamics 365 Project Operations solutions in India. The new offering is aimed at assisting service-based businesses trying to unify operational workflows. The solution works as an all-in-one application to provide real-time analytics to connect different teams such as sales, resourcing, project management, and accounts, among others.
Dynamics 365 Project Operations is priced at ₹7,930 per user per month. It can also be availed of by non-D365 users.
Microsoft pointed out that service-based organisations often struggle to achieve success due to disparate systems and data silos. These challenges lead to poor customer acquisition, collaboration between teams, workforce optimisation, and so on.
“Managing projects in different systems results in lack of visibility & transparency, increasing manual processes, lowering accuracy, slowing timelines, cost overruns, and even higher attrition rates. Therefore, service-based businesses are accelerating cloud adoption to benefit from the increased streamlining, productivity and efficiency that comes with cloud-based software and enterprise business solutions,” the company added.
Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 Project Operations is based on the company’s Power Platform. It also combines capabilities from Microsoft’s different services such as Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation, Dynamics 365 Finance, and Microsoft Project. The solution also allows easier integration into Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation, Dynamics 365 Finance, and Microsoft Project
Microsoft has also listed out some of the benefits of its Dynamics 365 Project Operations service in India. For instance, leaders can use the platform to get a better insight into data and AI capabilities to make quicker decisions. A Power BI tool allows CXOs in gauging upcoming business needs.
Similarly, project managers can use the solution to better track their project and collaborate across the project lifecycle using a single management dashboard.
“Finance managers can improve cash-flow by accurately invoicing customers and managing payables, and ensure compliance with published standards and practices. They can also track project spends and payables with invoicing and purchase order management. Dynamics 365 Finance helps them keep track of key business parameters, viz. revenue, gross margin, and project profitability,” Microsoft added.
