Maharashtra: Gang involved in preparing fake identity cards to Bangladeshi immigrants busted, 8 arrested

Maharashtra anti terrorism squad ATS has arrested a gang of eight persons in Mumbai who is supplying fake identity cards to Bangladeshi immigrants.

According to an official statement, ATS received a tip-off and raided the premise of a Bangladeshi immigrant in Mumbai and seized documents and equipment used for making fake passports. Besides fake documents like Indian passport, Aadhar, Pan Card, forged rubber stamps and cheque books, ATS also seized a huge amount of Bangladeshi currency, mobile phones, Bangladeshi SIM cards, Indian SIM card and ATM Cards. Accordingly, a case has been registered under relevant sections of Passport Act and Foreigners Act at Kalachowki police station.
