Maharashtra Assembly Polls: Filing Of Nominations Ends This Evening

In Maharashtra, the filing of nominations for single-phase assembly polls will end today. The scrutiny of nominations will be done tomorrow. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is 4th November. Voting for all 288 seats will be held on 20th November in a single phase. The counting of votes will be taken up on November 23.Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, his deputy Ajit Pawar and senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar filed their nomination papers yesterday. Other prominent leaders who filed nomination papers during the day were state forest minister and BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray.
