The Louisville Chapter/Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh offered tribute to soldiers who attained VeerSwarag in #Pulwama attack. The tribute to the martyrs was held in Louisville, Kentucky,USA. about 50+ people have attended and paid their respects. The gathering started with regular Shaka activities like Surya Namaskar, Games and concluded with paying tribute. Even kids of age of 4 participated and paid their tributes. Sri Ravi Arusam, Director of Louisville Shaka read out the names of the jawans. Two minutes of silence that was observed as mark of respect to all the Jawans. All those participated came forward and paid their pranams by lighting a candle or lamp. As a special tribute to the jawans, the priests from temple of Kentucky also participated and recited Shanthi Manthra from Vedas.
Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) USA is a voluntary, non-profit, social and cultural organization. Sangh, as the organization is popularly known, aims to organize the Hindu community in order to preserve, practice and promote Hindu ideals and values. Each chapter of HSS is known as Shakha – a weekly program for the entire family. While the kids enjoy learning in the balagokulam, youth and adults also participate in activities such as games, songs, discussions, and lectures on Hindu culture. HSS strongly emphasize the physical, intellectual and spiritual growth of each individual and also promote a sense of discipline. Sri Anoop Raghunathan (twitter id @GarvHinduAR) address the gathering on this occasion. He emphasized on how common man and how as an individual, one can contribute for the country and society. His speech in essence conveyed that not everyone will be able to join the army and fight for the nation but to serve, one must understand the greatness and its rich culture. Not understanding this is the first step of failure. His speech also quoted how to understand India from the eyes of Swami Vivekananda and Tamil National poet Bharathiyar.
