Keralites who are stranded in other states will be brought back to Kerala from today

Kerala : Keralites who are stranded in other states during the lockdown imposed after the coronavirus outbreak, will be brought back to Kerala from today. Those registered were given entry passes. There are six entry points near the state borders.

Those returning will be subjected to health checkup and the vehicles will be disinfected before entering the checkpost. A plan has been prepared for the measures to be taken before they are allowed inside the state.

Injivila in Thiruvannathapuram, Aryankavu in Kollam, Kumali in Idukki, Walayar in Palakkad, Muthanga in Wayanad and Manjeswaram in Kasaragodare the entry points. The returnees can cross the border between 7 am and 6 pm.

Except Muthanga, people will be allowed inside from morning. In Muthanga certain preparations are pending and the entry will be allowed only from afternoon.

1,50,054 persons have registered in NORKA website to return. Government has instructed that they can start the return journey only after availing the pass.

After screening, those without symptoms will be allowed to go home or to quarantine centres. Their mobile numbers will be tracked and will be under health workers’ observation.
