The Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak has been awarded to 463 personnel of various States and Union Territories, Central Armed Police Forces and Central Police Organisations for the year 2024. The medal is given to recognize excellent work, promote high professional standards and boost the morale of the officers in the fields of Special Operation, Investigation, Intelligence and Forensic Science.
The Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak was instituted by the Ministry of Home Affairs on 1st February this year. The Ministry said, the medal will be announced every year on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31st of October. The award will be conferred on members of the Police Forces, Security Organization, Intelligence Wing, National Security Guard in consideration for excellence in Operations, exceptional performance, indomitable and daring intelligence service.
