Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa announces night curfew across state due to new strain of Covid virus in UK

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has announced night curfew in the entire state starting tonight due to the emergence of a new strain of Covid virus in UK.

Making the announcement in Bengaluru today, the Chief Minister said that the night curfew will be imposed from night 10.00 pm to 6.00 am till January 2nd. 

Stressing on the need to contain the spread of Virus, he said that only those with negative Covid test report will be allowed to arrive in the airport. 

The Chief Minister said that RT PCR test 72 hours prior to the travel will be mandatory.

He informed that Covid testing lab is now functioning in the Bengaluru airport and added that health department officials are deputed in the Airports to monitor the arrival and departure of passengers.
