The Apex in its wisdom has granted ‘bail’ to Periavalavan a terror accuse in the gruesome murder of the late and former Prime Minister Shri. RAJIV GANDHI citing reasons beyond comprehension of a common man;
There are other accused in the same case and it is now very relevant to consider this order in a perspective that it curbs the Government of the States and the Centre that erodes into the powers bestowed upon them by the same Constitution by the Apex.
In Tamil Nadu alone the convicts of the Coimbatore bomb blasts which killed several scores of people and injured much more, the terrorists across India – thanks be to God that Afzal Kasab was hanged [in spite several midnight knocks in the Apex], and leave alone those who escaped, leave alone the hijack and India buckling down – one can go on and on.
Having set this precedence – Apex now is answerable to its own conscience and instead of standing on pedestals of wisdom – they now have opened a can of worms which I would love to watch how they wriggle out of it.
