Innovative Initiative By Jharkhand EC To Pursue Voters For Bigger Participation

In Jharkhand, Over 17 lakh school students across the state wrote letters to their parents encouraging them to exercise their franchise during assembly elections. Chief electoral officer K. Ravi Kumar said students and their parents and guardians shared it on the social media platform #MummyPapaVoteDo and it was trending among the top 10 in the country. Between 5 pm to 7 pm yesterday, there were 30 thousand posts on this hashtag. The CEO said a special initiative in this regard was taken to increase voter participation in the Jharkhand assembly elections
