Indore: Medicos stage protest for postponing exams

MBBS third professional (part-2) students staged a day long demonstration at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya seeking extension in examination scheduled from September 27.  Led by ABVP activists, the medicos continued the protest till it announced plans to consider their demand.  The MBBS third prof (part-2) exams were scheduled from September 12. The examinations were postponed after students informed the university that their pre-medical examinations were not held.

The matter was put up before executive council of DAVV, which extended examination date by a fortnight. But the students on Wednesday staged a demonstration on the university administrative campus demanding extension of exams by 10 more days. Exam controller Ashesh Tiwari said officers do not have authority to change date fixed by executive council. He also informed them that the vice-chancellor Dr Narendra Dhakad is in Bangaluru so the EC meeting could be convened only after he returns. The protest ended when the examination controller assured students of considering their demand.
