India’s U-20 Freestyle Wrestling Team Secures Second Position At 2025 U-20 Wrestling Championship

India’s U-20 freestyle wrestling team finished second at the 2025 U-20 Wrestling Championship in Bishkek, securing 2 gold, 1 silver, and 5 bronze medals, with a total of 157 points. Iran claimed the championship title.

Ankush in 57kg category won gold while Amit in 79kg category clinched the second gold after a close 5-4 win over Iran. Ashwani in 65kg category took silver, while Saurabh in 70kg category, Sachin in 86kg and 92kg category, Vishal in 97kg category, and Jaspooran Singh 125kg category, secured bronze. Overall, India won 21 medals including 10 gold, 3 silver, 8 bronze across all styles.
