India’s Industrial Production, IIP index grew by 4.3 per cent in December 2022. As per Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation data, it grew by 5.4 per cent during April to December of the current fiscal. The manufacturing sector’s output grew by 2.6 per cent in December 2022, while the mining output rose by 9.8 per cent and electricity production increased by 10.4 per cent during the month. For the month of December 2022, the Quick Estimates of IIP with base 2011-12 stands at 144.7.
