Indian classical music lovers enthralled by series of magical performances at Akashwani

Indian classical music lovers got enthralled by a series of magical performances by world-renowned musicians at a concert: Peace Through Music, at Akashwani’s newly-constructed Rangbhawan auditorium in New Delhi yesterday evening. The concert, organized by External Services Division, is an a-treat-to-watch musical event which is a part of the year-long celebrations on 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi.

The concert witnessed performances of likes of Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, who invented a new form of Veena instrument called Mohan Veena and flautist, Pandit Ronu Majumdar. Violinist, Dr. L Subramaniam and famous Odissi Dancer, Ms Kavita Dwibedi made their presence felt in the concert. This is the first time that the Akashwani is organizing such a music concert in its newly-constructed auditorium. The event also witnessed rich traditions and culture of Indian classical music.
