Union Food Processing Industries Minister Chirag Paswan has said India has the capability to make its cuisine global due to its geographical and demographical diversity. He said this while inaugurating the Indus Food 2025 in Greater Noida today. Mr. Paswan said that being a farmer-oriented country, with its spices India can become a global basket in the coming days.

He stressed food security and safety for the common people and asked the chefs and officials to ensure the quality of the food being made or served.

Mr. Paswan also mentioned that 100 new Food testing labs are being set up across the country and Irradiation is being introduced to increase the longevity of perishable food items. He assured that the government is committed to becoming a bridge between the policies of the centre and private industries.

Indus Food is Asia’s Premier Food and Beverage Trade Show. The Trade show offers an exclusive platform for global businesses to connect with India’s dynamic food economy widely recognized as the food economy of the future. Over one thousand 800 exhibitors, more than 180 international exhibitors are participating and around 20 country pavilions have been set up in the event.
