A friendship inked in History:
Brazilian President Jair Messias Bolsonaro was India’s Chief guest for the 71st Republic Day last year. In his visit to India as the 3rd President to visit India as a chief guest for the Republic Day Parade, India and Brazil signed the Action Plan to deepen the strategic partnership and inked 15 agreements and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
During the visit, PM Narendra Modi termed Brazil as an important partner in India’s economic transformation.
Agreements were signed in sectors like Oil & Gas, cultural- exchange programs, women & child development, health & medicine, geology & mineral resources, and animal husbandry & dairying. Thus, Brazil has been a great friend and an imminent partner in India’s economic transformation and still continues to be so, with the inking of fresh bilateral ties every now and then.
