IMD Issues Warning For Heavy Rainfall Across Western, Central, And Southern India

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for heavy to extremely heavy rainfall over Western, Central and Southern parts of the country. The IMD said that Vidarbha region is expected to witness extremely heavy rainfall today.IMD forecasts heavy to very heavy rainfall for isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana, Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Kerala and northeast states. Parts of Gujarat Region, Marathwada, West Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh are also likely to witness heavy rainfall today. The weather department said that the Cyclonic Storm ASNA over northwest Arabian Sea moved south-southwestwards. It is likely to continue to move further and weaken gradually into a depression.
