IMD Forecasts Heavy To Very Heavy Rainfall Over Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh & Rajasthan

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan today.

Heavy rainfall is also expected in isolated parts of Haryana, Chandigarh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The IMD said that squally winds gusting up to 60 kilometres per hour are likely to prevail over northern Madhya Pradesh and adjoining southwestern Uttar Pradesh until this evening and decrease thereafter.

According to IMD, the depression over Northeastern Madhya Pradesh is likely to move nearly west-northwestwards across north Madhya Pradesh and adjoining southwest Uttar Pradesh. It is expected to weaken into a well-marked low-pressure area within the next 24 hours.
